If so, please supply bibliographical references (and URL's, if possible). A short introduction for freshmen is at http://www.mederle.de/gl/emacs/elisp.html   - Have you developed or participated in the development of any Lisp-related programs or libraries? If so, please supply a URL, if possible. Wrote a couple of small tools, did a little GUI programming with cmucl and Garnet, all of it being works-for-me stuff. Currently, though, I'm writing my thesis which mostly consists of an application that can extract German postal addresses from web pages. It is a complete Common Lisp solution, including the web demo, which uses mod_lisp. And it's *fast*!   - Lisp variants you have used (e.g. Common Lisp, Scheme, Dylan): Common Lisp, Emacs Lisp   - Lisp variants you're currently using or intend to use in the near future: Common Lisp, Emacs Lisp, possibly Arc   - Lisp implementations you have used (e.g. CMUCL, Lispworks, Allegro Common Lisp): CMUCL, OpenMCL, SBCL, clisp, Lispworks   - Lisp implementations you're currently using or intend to use in the near future: CMUCL, OpenMCL, Lispworks   - Computer platforms on which you're using or deploying Lisp: OS X, Linux/x86   - Number of years of experience with Lisp: 4   - Do you use Lisp: - at work (if so, how much) Yes, whenever a bash script won't do.   - for study (if so, how much) Whenever possible, which is often.   - as a hobby (if so, how much) Exclusively.   - Are you using Lisp as much as you would like to? If not, why not? I would love to do it for a living.   - Do you see any obstacles to further Lisp growth (if so, what is the biggest obstacle in your opinion)? Lisp has come a long way since I discovered it for me, notably ASDF and a couple of libraries help a lot (cl-ppcre, uffi, tbnl, etc.) The biggest obstacles are the non-existance in the press, FUD and prejudice.   - Would you be interested in a Lisp-related job or contract work? Definitely.   - Is your organization interested in hiring Lisp programmers? No.   - Are you currently participating in Lisp-related meetings? If so, where and how often? If not, would you be interested in such meetings? Yes, if affordable. I need a new pair of jeans.
